Youth Against the Pipeline

  • Youth M.O.V.E: The Medford Drop 123 South Front Street Medford, OR, 97501 United States (map)

On June 6th, youth and families are invited to take action to stop the Jordan Cove pipeline and LNG export project* at this workshop organized by teens. We’ll have a fun, family-friendly workshop to help submit our comments to the Federal agency that can stop the LNG project now.

Will you join other youth to stop the Jordan Cove LNG project?

What: Rogue Valley Youth: Stop the Pipeline Workshop
When: Thursday, June 6, 6-8PM
Where: Medford Drop Youth ERA, 123 S. Front St, Medford
Who we are: We are a youth-led volunteer group empowering our communities across the Rogue Valley to stop the twice-denied Jordan Cove LNG project and transition to renewable energy. Youth taking action now for a better tomorrow!
FREE snacks. Live Music by the Yonk Trio. Art-making. Everyone is welcome! Updates on the LNG project.

We’ll make it easy and fun for everyone to take part in civic process, especially youth who aren’t always at the decision-making table. Our comments will be submitted to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), who has the power to deny the Jordan Cove LNG project.

*Why stop the Jordan Cove pipeline and LNG export project: Canadian fossil fuel corporation, Pembina, is proposing a 229-mile long pipeline and LNG (liquefied natural gas) terminal to export fracked gas overseas from Coos Bay, Oregon. The Jordan Cove LNG project would risk the clean drinking water of 150,000 Oregonians, become the largest source of climate pollution in Oregon, and pose a major public safety threat to nearby communities. Oregon communities need a faster transition to renewable energy, and youth are leading the movement!
